About Our Ministry

The ministry of Soul Devotion consists of Rev. Verna Brown, Rev. Dana Waller, Rev. Mitch Waller
(singers-songwriters-musicians), Rick Brown-Sound Engineer & Prayer Team, Mitch Waller-Studio
Engineer-Prayer Team. Verna and Dana worship the Lord in song with Holy Spirit power and
anointing They are not “performers.” They are “vertical worshippers” who lead their listeners into
the throne room, believing that Jesus alone deserves to be worshipped and adored. They teach/preach
the Word, and together operate in the gifts of the Spirit according to their individual gifting. All four
members are strong intercessors and serve during their alter calls for salvation, healing, and
deliverance. In addition to ministering in churches, they take the gospel outside the church doors,
anywhere there is an opportunity to sing the Word, pray the Word , and preach the Word. They are
committed to reaching the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and encouraging the body of Christ to
deeper intimacy with Jesus, through the study of His Word, worship and prayer.

Brown's BIO

Rick and Rev. Verna Brown live in Modesto,
CA., and have 3 children.

While working as a Human Resource Director in
the Automotive Industry, Verna answered the call
of Evangelist, in May of 1999, leaving her
secular career. Soon after Soul Devotion was
birthed, Verna's love for writing devotions
prompted her to begin Soul Devotion’s Bi-
Monthly Newsletter. In Jan. 2003, Verna was
ordained by Pastor Rod Parsley of World
Harvest Church, taking another step into her
calling. She is a graduate of the External Studies
Program of World Harvest Bible College-2007.
Verna is an evangelist who preaches with
passion. Both Rick, and Verna’s passion for the
lost, broken, and addicted is apparent. Verna
shares a powerful testimony of growing up a PK
(preachers kid) who became a prodigal’s
daughter, and after years of addiction,
experienced God’s redemptive work and
deliverance power. This powerful testimony is on
their CD-More Than Enough, and is being used
as an evangelistic tool, they are both
intercessory prayer warriors.

Waller's BIO

Rev. Mitch and Rev. Dana Waller live in
Modesto, California.
They were ordained as ministers, by Pastor
Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church in 2007,
and are graduates of the External Studies
Program of World Harvest Bible College-2007.
Mitch and Dana preach/teach the Word with
passion. Mitch serves as Recording-Sound
Engineer, and plays horns & percussion. He is
also a part-time personal trainer. In addition
to being a songwriter, Dana writes devotions
for Soul Devotion's Newsletter. She also works
as a group exercise instructor at 2 local health
clubs. They have two children, Kyle and
Chelsea. Mitch and Dana have served in music
ministry for the past 26 years. Both have a
deep love for their Savior, and a passion to see
lives changed through the gospel message.
Music is just one of the tools that God has put
in their hands to accomplish this mission.
Mitch and Dana are committed to the calling
God has placed on their lives, and are deeply
committed to prayer, and the Word.
