“I Will” - Get Over It
Aug-Sept 04
By Rev. Verna Brown

Did you know that the phrase, “I will,”
is the strongest assertion that can be
made in the English language? It is an
assertive approach, and a necessary
mindset we
must have when
confronting barriers/roadblocks the
enemy has placed in our path to keep
us from “crossing over”  into a new
season of anointing, strength, faith,
and God’s glory. It is going to take
“active faith” in our Mighty God, and a
“made up mind” to confront the enemy
and conquer new territory. In other
words, you have to “decide” that,
"I
will"
put on my armor and fight. You
will never conquer what you are
unwilling to confront. So it’s time to
take action and deal with it! You must
be aggressive, because the enemy is
aggressive in his tactics to hinder you
from moving into your full inheritance.
He wants to trap, divert, block, and
stop you from fulfilling the vision God
has given you.
This is not the time to despair, become
faint hearted, hope or wish he’ll leave
you alone, and cave into his deception.
Go to the cross and break off any
besetting sin. Resurrection, and new
life is on the other side. It’s time to
put on the whole armor of God (Eph.6),
submit to God (very important,
because apart from His authority you
can do nothing, but through Christ
you can do all things-Phil 4:13
), resist
the devil, and in the name of Jesus
demolish and pull down strongholds,
barriers, and roadblocks.
Stay in the
word, and submit to it as an
“act of
your will.”
Pray with fervency
. Begin to confess
out loud,
“Devil, you’re goin’ down!
You may roam around “like” a roaring
lion seeking to devour me, but the
LION OF JUDAH lives inside of me!
Greater is He that is in me, than you!
I cast you out, and cancel every
assignment you have against me. In
the name of Jesus, I tear down your
strongholds, demolish your arguments,
and put you under my feet where you
belong.
I will walk in submission to God’
s word,
I will possess my inheritance, I
will
see the vision God gave me
fulfilled,
I will prepare for my new
season,
I will prosper even as my soul
prospers, because it is God’s will for
me,
I will confront you in the power of
the Holy Spirit and be victorious,
I will
move from this place into the new
season of revival and anointing that
God has for me.
I will bless the Lord Oh
my soul,
I will sing praises to my
deliverer,
I will shout unto God with a
voice of triumph,
I will…..
I'm Still Here
By Dana Waller

What’s the definition of a “strong” Christian?
Someone who reads his or her Bible every day?
Someone who prays a lot? Someone whose
conversation is laced with Christian expressions?
Someone who invites his or her friends and
neighbors to church?
These are all great things to do, but I believe
the definition of a strong Christian is a person
who has weathered the severe storms of life and
come through not only with their faith in tact,
but stronger.  A person who can look the devil
in the face and tell him,
“I’m still here! And
there’s NOTHING you can do to shake me!”
“Take my job away – I’m still here!  Take my
health away –
I’m still here! Knock me down –
I’m still here!  Try to mess up my life – I’m
still here!”
 The person who perseveres with
determination, persistence, patience and tenacity
is what Rev. 3:21 refers to as an overcomer.
Jesus said,
“To him who overcomes, I will
give the right to sit with me on my throne.
Just as I overcame and sat down with my
Father on his throne.”
This means that when
the going gets tough, the tough get on their
knees.  The tough soak in the Word of God.
The tough recruit prayer support.  The tough
know how to WAR-SHIP their way through any
and every difficulty in life.
To overcome means to prevail over any
obstacle, to surmount any problem, to get the
better of in any situation. Jesus promises that
He will give a high place of honor in His
kingdom to such people. Revelation chapters 2,
3 and 4 are
FULL of promises from Jesus to
overcomers!  Do you want to be an overcomer?
Then refuse to give up in the face of spiritual
attack or adversity.  Develop a warrior mentality
when it comes to your Christian walk. Stay in
the Word.  Learn to recognize when the enemy
is trying to derail you, discourage you, and talk
you into giving up because it’s “just too hard.”
Recruit other Christians to hold you up in
prayer.  And above all,
WALK in the presence
and the power of the Holy Spirit
DAILY.  That’s
where your strength lies.
Satan is the
accuser of the brethren (that’s
us).  We overcome him by the Blood of the
Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Rev.
12:10, 11). So pick yourself up, make sure the
devil can see your
NO TRESSPASSING sign,
stand your ground and tell him, “Come what
may.
I’M STILL HERE!”
